What do you need from me to start?
The slow query, the table structure, and the EXPLAIN ANALYZE output. If you do not know how to get the output, I will tell you the steps.
Do you need access to my database?
No. I work from the query, the table structure, and the EXPLAIN ANALYZE output you send. For harder cases, I give you read-only queries to run and paste back. Please never share passwords or production access in chat.
Will you change my database for me?
No. I give you the exact fixes and you apply them. Test them on a staging copy first.
Can you promise a certain speed-up?
No. The result depends on your query and data. I show the real before and after timings. If a query cannot be improved, I tell you honestly why.
Do you work with other databases?
No. I only work with PostgreSQL, so you get focused help.
Do you work with my time zone?
Yes. I work with buyers in any time zone. The audit is done in writing, so you do not need to be online at the same time as me. I reply to messages within a few hours. If you want a call, we choose a time that works for both of us.
