It was such a pleasant experience that I enjoyed every moment trimming the wood stacks with extreme delicacy. I believe my passion in transforming wood to artifacts highlighted me well to the President Club. Later, I was awarded the office of the Secretary Woodwork Club. That was back in
2005 and I have been playing and making portraits and models with wood ever since.
My work is inspired by the photography which has been used for its mimetic power to capture nature. Using those original photographs of what already exists in nature as subject I deform and reinterpret shapes and shades to change the picture to a scroll saw portrait. Then using the image and concept created in my mind critical pieces are selected which can mimic the natural scenario up to good approximation.
The distinction of my work lies in the fact that each individual piece is cut from wood by hand scroll saw and no electrical saw/machine is used for any operation.
For me scroll saw art is the language of my mind and a medium for expression of my
imagination. Looking forward to working for you!
