Why? Because you can start playing with rich makeup shades that won’t slide down your face in the 100-degree heat. And you can actually style your hair, thanks to the waning humidity.
I got married at the very start of fall (that’s one of my own wedding photos on the upper right) and enjoyed many of the aforementioned benefits. I went for a rich brown eye, major lashes and a relaxed (and happily frizz-free) updo. I also had a mosquito hanging out on my eyelid for the duration of my walk down the aisle, so I guess summer hadn’t disappeared completely!
A couple of my closest friends are getting married in Maine this fall, and I started thinking about what to wear to the event in May. That’s how excited I am about it. It’s a rustic, woodsy wedding, and all our closest friends will be in attendance. And my husband and I have a babysitter, so we’re making a night of it!
