About This Gig

Here is what I offer:
  1. I will read your fiction work (be it a short story, a novelette, a novella or a full-fledged novel) written in English or Turkish.
  2. I will take notes.
  3. I will give you detailed feedback on the story and the writing (probably with my notes on your text) again in English or Turkish (if that's what you would prefer)

What I DO NOT offer is proofreading or editing. So I will not be changing a single sentence you have written, although I may mark some grammatical errors throughout the text.

For texts longer than 2000 words, just add an additional 2000 words to your order. If it is very chunky (like a 150000-words sci-fi thriller) we can discuss a specific rate.

I am a PUBLISHED author of two children's books, and the translator of sci-fi and fantasy books.  My PhD studies revolve around narratives and have devoted myself to the art of telling stories. What you can count on is that I am a very good alpha (or beta) reader and my knowledge on how stories work mechanically can really help with your writing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I buy this package with an outline or notes of a story, instead of a finished one?
For your sake, no. I give my feedbacks on both the story and the writing style and without it having a form of a story, it will not as effective as it is right now.
  • Can I send you the text again after I revised it?
You can ask for feedbacks again by getting the package. If it is a bulky piece of prose, we can arrange a special rate for each new draft.
  • Will my story be finished after I revised according to your feedback?
Yes and no. My feedback will be recommendations so it is up to you to decide which ones you want to apply. Secondly, although the notes will be what I think are missing to make the story as good as possible, some writers to 2 drafts, some do 20. It's up to you to decide when it's finished.
