shops display books with their covers facing the reader. It’s the first thing a reader sees. It is the reason a customer picks it up, particularly in a
supermarket setting where every book is front facing. Even the author
can be recognized not only by the letters spelled out, but by the font,
the style of cover, composition, the look of a series. Because a book’s cover is its face, it generates expectation. The cover is not only a
billboard but, in a sense, the first page of the story,
because it is here that the book can communicate a little of the style
and mood of the tale inside. ....that's why you need me to design your cover...i know how it works!
