About This Gig

I will create an original soundtrack/background music for your next video project or movie short, in either orchestral (classical, modern or avant-garde/contemporary) or electronic (trance, lounge, elevator/uplifting) genres.

I will do my best to follow your requested succession of moods in the music I compose, and your suggestions regarding orchestration, texture, pace, etc., if any. I will interpret and record each musical element using MIDI gear, render it using virtual instruments, mix and master the resulting music, and deliver in studio-quality WAV file format (Stereo, 24 bit, 48 kHz).

Limitations:

    I cannot provide lyrics: I do not, myself, sing, nor record singing artists; I can, however, provide voices sustaining vowels;
    I do not provide music to video synchronization services: I will do my best to follow your timing, if given one, but you will match my audio to your video;
    While the composition will be original, the sound samples will not; therefore, there is a slight chance that the track I deliver to you resembles some other of my tracks.

I am open to custom gigs, and I will gladly negotiate price or other aspects until we strike a deal. Just leave me a message!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What instruments are included?
    For orchestral compositions: section strings, section brass, section woodwinds, orchestral percussion, choir and at most one soloist instrument or voice per mood/section. For electronic compositions: any synthesized sound or beat.
  • Is the music you provide cleared for sampling?
    Yes, you can sample resulting music and modify/reuse it as needed.
  • Do you provide a talent release form?
    Will sign a talent release form upon request, provided that you give me a form to sign. Will print it, sign it, and deliver it back, together with the WAV file.
  • What format is the multi-track file?
    I will either deliver a Sonar Producer X3 file, or a zip file with individual tracks rendered as WAV files, at your choice. I will not provide other multi-track formats.
  • Will you create in other genres too?
    I only have experience with orchestral and electronic music. I received confirmation that I'm good at it, so by all means I'd rather do what I'm good at. :-)
  • Why don't you limit commercial use, HQ quality or # of instruments per package, like others do?
    1. Limiting commercial use makes the package futile; 2. Limiting HQ quality: seriously? Who needs low-quality audio? 3. Limiting number of instruments could turn against my creativity.
  • What makes your packages different?
    The number of "moods" the track will convey in succession, and the number of included revisions.
