Frequently Asked Questions

  • What format should my document be in?
I accept .doc, .docx, .rtf, and .odt files. If you have a print-formatted document, please add the Pre-Formatted add-on. Print formatters add hard line breaks in the middle of sentences to ensure the lines and words fall correctly on the pages, and I have to go in and clean those up.
  • What size should my cover photo be?
    I recommend 1563 x 2500 pixels for Kindle.
  • What file format should my cover photo be?
TIFF, JPG, JPEG or PNG will work fine!
  • Why should I add a cover photo?
If you choose to include a cover photo, I will add it to the very beginning of the document and it will be added to the meta data so that if you choose to send this file out for ARCs, when your readers upload the book on their device, it will show your cover instead of a generic document image.
