I use 3d Max to hand UV objects (this way the UVs make more sense to a human and are more optimal, as versus computer generated UVs which tend to waste your time from doing trial-and-error trying to generate UVs).
I can UV anything under 300,000 triangles and of moderate complexity (high complexity will take too long, please message me for more advanced and higher poly UV projects).
