About This Gig

For years I offered beta reads/critiques to people in physical and virtual writing groups. Over the years I've learned to give honest and helpful feedback without crushing the writer's love for their project.  A good beta reader is someone who loves the genre you write in and reads it regularly. My favorite genres are Thiller/Suspense, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Romance, Historical Fiction, and Children's Literature. I love cross-genre stories!
I don't read erotica, so if you write erotica I won't be the beta reader for you.
I will offer a detailed Beta Read with inline comments and additional comments at the end of the story. I comment on the things that capture (or should capture) the reader: plot, character, pacing, dialogue, and emotional reaction. I will note the strengths and the weaknesses of the story.
In my opinion, the most successful novels are those that offer the reader a memorable emotional experience.
I can't wait to read your story :)
