What is depression?
Depression is a state of mind and a powerful one at that. No seriously, depression affects a large percentage of people from all different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life. Depression can take people to places in their mind that they never knew existed. It can make victims feel emotions that are so negatively intense, that it can impede their personal development. Think of depression as an unhealthy mind, and positivity as a healthy one. Depression can cause and lead to anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts and mental illnesses if not treated correctly. Although depression is common, it should still be regarded as something that is potentially dangerous, and should be dealt with as soon as possible. I have written a few ways in which you can effectively deal with depression, but always remember that healing always starts and ends within ourselves.
