Representation matters, so let's make it count!
This is a niche service for those who have written, or are writing, stories or content with disability and/or mental health themes; typically when they aren't coming from a direct personal knowledge of such. I want to help ensure that the content about these topics isn't harmful, even by accident, so I'm offering a beta reading-like service where I'll read through your manuscript and leave in-line comments as well as supply a reader report/editorial letter summarizing sensitivity feedback.
Sensitivity reading for different types of disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mental health representation. Areas of expertise: depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, invisible disability, physical disability, chronic pain, skin conditions, autism, ADHD, and more. I'm also able to do a more general sensitivity read for disabilities and mental health.
I am open to many kinds of work: fiction, creative non-fiction, essay writing, etc.
