About this Gig
The first level edit (developmental) is all about checking the story, characters, world-building, and pacing. This is a more comprehensive review than a beta read (see my other gigs for beta read pricing). Order this edit when you are close to, or finished with, your first draft. I evaluate your story to make sure that the basics of story--strong plot arc, characterizations, and general readability--have been satisfied and appealing to your reader.
Ask me tons of questions! I do not limit them and want you to know I have your back during this process. An additional read-through of your manuscript is included in all levels.
For books over 90,000 words, please message me for a custom gig. I charge $40 per 10,000 words and a few extra days depending on word count.

A developmental edit identifies a story’s strengths and weaknesses and offers solutions for improvement. With a Line Edit, problems are addressed line by line for a comprehensive review that also includes basic proofreading.
Do I accept spicy fiction or erotica?
If your story or book is spicy, that's fine. I will let you know if the spice level is too much for me and refund your payment. I also do not accept manuscripts with torture p***, non-con, or that glorify s** trafficking or child abuse.
Do I accept manuscripts with LGBTQ+ themes?
Yes. I have no problem reading stories with those themes.
