About this gig
Is your WordPress site still on an old PHP version?
Two critical PHP flaws (rated 9.2 out of 10) were fixed on 21 October 2026. They can let an outsider run commands on your server without logging in. PHP 8.1 and older no longer get updates, so the fix is moving to a supported PHP version.
The risk of waiting: a hacked site can mean stolen data, spam, malware, redirects, Google warnings and lost sales.
I handle your WordPress PHP update and security fixes safely:
- Full backup before any change
- Update WordPress, plugins and theme
- Move to PHP 8.3 or newer, where your host offers it
- Fix errors and broken plugins or theme parts
- Test pages, forms, login and admin
- Report with your PHP version before and after
Good to know:
- Old plugins and themes can break on a big jump, so I test first and keep a way back.
- Price goes by site size. Shops, extra sites and very old plugins or themes may cost extra.
- Hacked site? Message me before ordering.
I need a WordPress admin invite (not a password in chat) and your hosting details.
Not sure which package fits? Send me your site address.
I will explain each step in plain English, so you always know what is happening to your site.

FAQ
Is my site affected by the PHP security flaws?
Every WordPress site runs on PHP, and the fix is a newer PHP on your server. If yours is 8.1 or older, it gets no update at all. Send me your site address and I will check your version.
Will my site break after the update?
I take a full backup first, test pages, forms and admin after the change, and your host can switch PHP back if something fails. I fix errors that appear. Abandoned plugins may need a custom quote.
Will I lose my content or settings?
The PHP version does not change your content or settings, which sit in your database. I still take a full backup before I change anything, so you can always go back.
What do I need to do?
Send your site address, a WordPress admin invite and your hosting details. I take care of the rest and send you a short report with your PHP version before and after.
How long does it take?
Small sites (up to 5 pages) take 2 days, medium 3 days and large 5 days. Fast delivery is an extra. Shops and sites with many old plugins can take longer, and I will tell you before I start.
What if my host does not offer PHP 8.3?
I move you to the newest version your host supports and say so in the report. If your host only offers old versions, I will tell you honestly and suggest the next step, such as changing host.
Do you work on online shops (WooCommerce)?
Yes. Please add the WooCommerce testing extra, so I check the cart, checkout and payments after the update. Shops need more testing than a normal site.
Do you need my password?
No. Please send a WordPress admin invite and your hosting details instead. Never send a password in chat.
Can you keep my site updated after this?
This gig is a one-time update. If you want regular updates and checks, message me and we can set up ongoing care.
How long does it take?
A landing page in 2 to 3 days, a full site in 1 to 2 weeks. The build is rarely what slows a project down, content and feedback are. Send those quickly and you land at the fast end of that range.
