I'm a licensed mental health counselor and a queer writer with nearly 10 years of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community. I specialize in queer indie fiction of all genres, including literary, romance, sci-fi/fantasy, YA, and more, but I love a good story of any category.
What my ~1000-word reader report will cover:
- Pacing: where your story drags and where I couldn't put it down
- Character: how believable and compelling I found your cast
- Plot: any inconsistencies I noticed or things that didn't make sense

Looking for more depth than a reader's perspective? I'm also an editor. Given my story's word count, which package should I purchase?
For all packages, the cost for additional words is $5 per 10,000 words. The way the math breaks down, the Short Story tier is cheapest for stories under 20k words, the Novella tier is best for stories between 20k and 60k, and for anything over 60k, you should go with the Novel tier.
What's the difference between beta reading and editing?
Beta reading is my cheapest service, but also the least comprehensive. I just read the story and give you my thoughts, without making prose-level edits or going deep on craft issues. If you want some editing but aren't ready to commit to the full price, try the Sample Line Edit or Extended Report.
Do you use AI in your beta reading or otherwise outsource your work?
No. I will treat all our communications and all writing you send to me as confidential between us. I will never put your writing into an AI and my reader reports are 100% my own writing, never AI generated.
Will you read explicit or potentially triggering content?
Yes! My work as a therapist has left me more than prepared to handle mature themes and content in a professional and sensitive manner, including erotica.
Do you only work with queer indie authors?
Nope! That's the area where I have the most experience, but I wouldn't turn anyone away just because their work falls outside of my usual niche.
