I will be your developmental editor for fantasy, romantasy, romance books

For my developmental editing, I focus in particular on fantasy, romantasy, and romance books. These are the genres I have read most widely and about which I am most knowledgeable. I love: cozy fantasy, dark fantasy, all shade of romantasy, portal fantasy, epic fantasy, fantasy romance, etc.

A developmental edit is specifically for big picture items in your manuscript. Think plot structure, pacing, character development etc. It is NOT a copy edit or proofreading. I will not check for grammar, spelling or syntax issues.

A developmental edit from me means I will read the entire manuscript. You will receive a detailed editorial letter with my thoughts and critique of your manuscript. You can also purchase in-line comments as an add-on.

Yes! All my packages include one round of follow-up questions, so you can ask about the edits I provide. I want to make sure all of my suggestions are crystal clear.

No. Nope. Absolutely not. I do not use AI for developing editorial notes. I will NEVER feed your manuscript to AI.
