I will validate your startup idea with a competitor and prior art report
Startup Due Diligence: Prior Art, Competitor Teardowns and Investor Prep
About this Gig
The first question every investor asks is "who else does this?" Most founders find out in the meeting. By then it costs the round.
I run the due diligence a VC associate runs on your idea, before you pitch, on your side. You get a written report naming every competitor, funded player, patent and paper that overlaps your idea, which parts survive, and the answers to the questions you'll be asked.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Competitor and funded-player landscape: who is there, what they raised, what they ship.
Prior-art search: patents, applications, standards drafts, academic work.
Hostile review: the three strongest arguments against your idea.
Survival verdict: which parts are defensible and the narrow claim that holds.
Investor question sheet: the 10 questions you'll be asked, with prepared answers.
HOW IT'S DONE
AI-driven research across hundreds of sources per report, every claim linked, every finding verified by a human.
WHAT I NEED
A 2-5 sentence description of the idea, your target customer and any competitors you know of. No deck required.
Not legal advice. Read the sample report before ordering: its verdict was "do not file." That's the point.

FAQ
Will you tell me my idea is bad?
If the evidence says so, yes. That's what you're paying for. Most reports find the idea is partly taken and identify the part that isn't. That narrower claim is usually the one worth building.
Is this a patent search?
It's a prior-art landscape, not a legal opinion. It will find the patents that matter and tell you what they claim, so your attorney conversation is short and specific.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. Send yours or I'll provide a mutual one. Nothing you share is used for any other purpose.
What if you find nothing?
Then you get a report saying so, with the search recorded so an investor can see the diligence was done. That is also valuable.
Why are Standard and Premium priced below the packages they describe?
Founding rate. The first five orders get Standard at $350 and Premium at $690 instead of $595 and $1,150, in exchange for an honest review after delivery. Same report, same turnaround. Prices return to normal after the fifth order.
