Too often, well-meaning writers accidentally produce offensive or harmful portrayals of characters in marginalized groups, alienating readers and hurting their reputation. If you're reading this, you must be a writer who values representing marginalized communities authentically and respectfully. And that means I want to work with you!
I'm a licensed mental health counselor who has worked with the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent community, especially transgender folks, for my entire nearly decade-long career. I'm also trans, queer, and neurodivergent myself. If you're writing any LGBTQ+ or neurodivergent character, a character with mental illness, or a story with a significant focus on mental healthcare, I am exactly the consultant you need to make sure your work is the best it can be.

FAQ
Is the Q&A only offered as part of the Basic package, or can I get it with the other packages too?
When you submit your order, you'll be asked to provide a list of questions for me regardless of which package you selected. For Standard and Premium buyers, these questions will be answered in a section of the reader report. If you don't have any specific questions for me, you can just write "N/A".
What are your areas of expertise?
I am most knowledgeable on trans and queer topics, ADHD and autism, mental illness (including anxiety, depression, psychosis, personality disorders, etc.), and mental healthcare in general. I will flag other concerns (e.g., race, disability, etc.) as I see them, but I don't claim expertise on these.
Do you use AI in your sensitivity reading and consulting?
No. All writing I produce for your order will be 100% my own work, and I will never run any part of your writing through AI.
Will you guarantee that, after I use your services, no one will be offended by any aspect of my work?
No, no sensitivity reader can honestly promise that. You can't make something that is offensive to literally no one, but you can make something that will be accurate and respectful in the eyes of most of the people in the communities you're writing about.
Will you sanitize my work and suppress my creative voice?
No. I only provide feedback, and you have complete freedom over what, if anything, you choose to implement. Also, I respect that some of the best writing confronts sensitive, controversial topics, and I don't want to stop you from doing that. I just want to make sure you do it thoughtfully.
