I am the Founder of Waking Voice in Portland, OR. I have been teaching singers of all kinds for nearly two decades. Clients on Labels like Ineffable Music, Brushfire Records, Wahine Productions and more regularly place their trust in me with their careers. I have worked with world-touring vocalists, musical theater professionals, new artists, hobby singers, and brand-new beginners who just want to enjoy themselves.
My talent is helping make challenging things make sense to all different types of people. Singing is something you can learn, and even the so-called "naturally talented" need training if they want a great voice to last their lifetime.
All lessons are completely adapted to the individual student's needs, abilities, particular style of learning, and vocal habits. Reocrdings of each lesson are made so the student can practice along with their lesson recordings

I am a Voice Teacher and Vocal Coach (two different things) of over 18 years. I work with touring vocalists to elevate their game and keep their voices healthy with the demands of the road, as well as teach up-and-comers, hobbyists, and beginners who never learned to carry a tune. I have helped with artists at labels like Brushfire Records, and Ineffable Music. I work with all voices, male and female, and ages 13-75.
What sets me apart from the majority of voice teachers is that I teach a foundational technique essential to every genre, as well as speaking. I erase your vocal break!
FAQ
When do you teach?
My Fiverr rates are lower than my usual rates to I will only be able to offer fiverr lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays 1030am-8pmPST (Pacific Standard Time). If you want a lesson on Weds or Fri, you will have to buy individual lessons through my website. Can book as soon as you see availability!
How do I book?
After purchase I will sed you a link to my online scheduler for you to book whenever is convenient on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All lessons must be scheduled within a 3 month period or they will expire.
What is Your Cancellation/Reschedule policy?
All lessons must be requested to be rescheduled more than 24 hours before the lesson, or the lesson is counted as used. Life can get in the way of lessons sometimes, but if I don't have at least 24 hours notice the lesson slot can't be filled regardless of the reason. It's bummer, but not personal.
Do we use a video call? What do i need?
You need to get an app for your computer at http://farplay.io The app is free to download and use. All you need is strong Wifi, good headphones or speakers, int/ext mic, and I send you a code at your lesson time via text message. Can default to FaceTime, Skype, cell phone, but not recommended.
Can I sign up from anywhere in the world?
Absolutely, but my scheduler will list available times in pacific standard time zone (PST), so you will be responsible for confirming that the time in your timezone is accurate with the time you book in PST.
