As a freelance developmental editor, I have spent the last five years working with authors to improve their storytelling. I have strengthened my ability to provide the most articulate and helpful feedback possible by studying under writing coaches. SciFi and Fantasy are my personal favorite genres to read, and I know what is trending in those genres today.

Sharing your work with a stranger is an incredibly vulnerable process, and I promise to honor that vulnerability by sharing honest, helpful feedback. I will always suggest improvements when I find an area of concern, and will not avoid hard conversations.

A developmental edit is used to prepare for the next phase of rewrites on your manuscript. This type of edit provides suggestions to improve your writing at a fundamental level, rather than focusing on grammar or minor stylistic issues.

Each developmental edit includes (2) online meetings as needed, (2) readthroughs of your manuscript, in-line comments and critiques of specific passages and areas of concern, and a detailed editorial letter explaining suggestions for rewrites and opportunities for improvement.
