About this Gig
I absolutely love reading and I always have a book in my hand. I have an English Literature degree from University of Huddersfield which introduced me to a wide range of genres and improved my analysing skills. I am a book blogger and reviewer and I read on average 110 books a year. My book blog is https://gemmasbookshelf.wordpress.com/.
I will beta read your book, short stories and chapters to provide an in depth reader report and in line comments with honest and constructive feedback. This includes my first impression, plot, pacing, characters, worldbuilding and much more.
Some important questions I will consider:
Does the first chapter grab my attention?
Are the characters distinguishable and are they developed throughout?
Is the plot strong and does it keep me wanting to read on?
Are there any plot holes or inconsistencies such as names, dates etc?
I can also focus on a specific section you want my attention on.
