I will teach you how to play bass guitar from beginner to pro

About this gig
Experience
21 years of teaching experience.
In 2003, I started playing bass professionally and teaching private, in-person bass lessons.
In 2020 I started teaching also remotely.
Teaching Methodology
My lessons cover a wide variety of styles and techniques, and the required music theory as well, and also coaching for being in a band and develop yourself as a complete bass player.
At first, we focus on the basic techniques in order to be able to play the first basic songs. Then, we start incorporating scales, arpeggios and patterns in general. Then, we apply all that in building bass lines from zero. From that point on, we start learning more advanced stuff such as melodic and harmonic improvisation, slap, tapping and other percussive techniques, etc. We also discuss topics about different gear (bass brands and models, sound equipment, etc.), how to prepare for your band rehearsals, live presentations, etc.
In the between of all the above, we also have learn and develop songs from your favorite players and interpreters.
I kindly invite you to schedule a lesson with me and I can assure that you won´t regret it.

FAQ
I don't have a bass, can I just start anyway?
You need your bass to start, because you will need it to study on your own between lessons
How much time do I need to practice on my own?
It is recommended that you practice at least one hour a day between lessons
Do I need to have previous knowledge?
It is not necessary, you can star from 0!
Do I need a special microphone?
Not initially. Standard device microphones work fine for basics, though headphones are highly recommended to prevent echo and hear nuances clearly.
How should I position my camera?
I need to see both your fretting and plucking hands.
Can I choose which songs I learn?
Yes. Learning songs you have a personal connection to is the best way to stay motivated, though I will also recommend specific tracks to build your foundational technique.
Do you also teach music theory?
Yes. Theory is integrated into the learning process so you understand why certain notes work, helping you eventually improvise and write your own lines.
What kind of learning resourses do you provide besides of the lesson itself?
I provide pdfs. with the tabs, videos, backing tracks and I can record the entire lesson session on Google Meets if the student requires it
