I will build a custom claude skill or convert your custom gpt into one

About this gig
Custom GPTs are set to retire on Dec 11, 2026 (per OpenAI's help center). OpenAI has its own move to ChatGPT plugins. If you'd rather own a copy that also works outside ChatGPT, I'll rebuild yours as a plain skill folder.
I also build new skills from scratch. A skill is a SKILL.md file your AI assistant follows (Claude Code, Claude, or anything that reads skill folders). When a step has to be exact, not guessed, I add a small Python helper that runs offline.
What you get:
- A skill folder with the rules, steps and output format spelled out
- A Python helper with tests, and the log showing they passed
- A worked example on sample data, plus a README
- A short note on what I tested and what I couldn't
How I work:
- I never need your passwords, API keys or logins. Send exported files or samples.
- Helpers read and suggest. They don't delete, send or post unless you ask.
- If something's missing, I mark it as a TODO. I don't guess.
I've been fixing and building computer systems since 1997, starting as lead computer tech at a Ford plant. Now I build and sell skill packs for inbox triage and code review. Not sure which package fits? Message me first.

FAQ
Will the converted skill run inside ChatGPT?
No, and I won't pretend it does. It's plain files for assistants that read skill folders, like Claude Code. If you want to stay in ChatGPT, use OpenAI's own plugin migration. I can also give you your instructions in a form you can paste back in.
What happens to my GPT's custom actions?
They don't carry over on their own. I list each one and mark what would need rebuilding. Rebuilding live API hookups isn't included unless we agree on it up front.
Do you need my account?
No. Send the GPT's instructions and file list, or some exported samples. Please don't send passwords or keys.
Which assistants does it work with?
Claude Code and Claude are what I build and test for. The format is plain Markdown, so others may read it too, but I only promise what I've tested.
What's the Python helper for?
The parts that have to come out the same every time: sorting, checking against a list, scoring, formatting. It runs offline on your machine and comes with tests.
