FAQ
I want a song mixed, how do I go about this?
We'll start by talking about direction and inspirations of the Project, how it was recorded and any other extra info e.g tempo/ key etc. you can send me a Logic file or preferably the stems via we transfer/google drive etc. Stems are .Wav or .Aif files of each individual track from your project.
I want a song mastered, what happens next?
You can send me the stems of each track in .wav or .aif files or send the song as a whole. it would be beneficial to send me all versions you had of the song, I may ask you to tweak a few bits in your mix to achieve the best result!
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing involves adjusting and combining individual tracks into a stereo or multichannel format, a.k.a. the mix. Mastering involves processing your mix into its final form so that it's ready for distribution.
How can I get the best result from my song?
Communication is key! I want to know about you influences, your intentions and ideals when you made your project, how it was recorded etc. If you haven't quite worked out the direction how ever, no worries, I have writing experience in a lot of different genres, together we can work it out!

I asked Marcus to mix and master my song and he did excellently. He asked me for reference tracks, provided me updates as it was being done and I am delighted with the end product. I would definitely use Marcus again and wholeheartedly recommend him. My songs sound excellent and he added the finishing touches to them, to really make them sparkle.
