Record Skype Interviews on separate tracks so that you can edit your voice separate from your guest which will enhance your interview quality by making editing a breeze
If you are a podcaster and do you record interviews using skype and get your voice and the guest mixed up all on the same track making it extremely painful to edit the interview as you often talk over each other.
I will send you written instructions describing the settings for a Mac Computer which will allow you to use Adobe Audition software and be able to record a Skype interview such that your voice and that of your guest are on two separate tracks. This will allow you to edit the two tracks independently of each other making it easier to edit the interview. You can then use the same document and modify it to adapt to Garageband or Audacity. Once recorded I will also show you how to make the levels of the two tracks such that they are balanced and one is not louder than the other. I will keep my instructions specific to a Mac computer using Adobe Audition 6.0
