About This Gig

I am a native American English speaker and the author of six ESL textbooks. I have taught over 7,000 ESL students from beginners to advanced speakers. If you want to learn English quickly and inexpensively, I can help.
If you can understand most of this description, you already know a lot of English.
You just need to have your conversational English confidence built up.
You also need to have a safe, fun and structured environment in which to practice your English.
We use a free professional video conference classroom (Zoom not Skype).
All you need is an internet connection and a headset with a microphone (video is optional).
You will receive a free online textbook.
Our goal is for this 1 hour class to be the highlight of your day.
Learning conversational English doesn’t have to be expensive!
Class time:  7:00 am to 8:00 am (USA Pacific Standard Time).
Class Days:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Hurry, because seating is limited.
I also offer private ESL classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why is this class so inexpensive?
It's a group class and so students are essentially pooling their money together to make this class affordable for everyone.
  • Do you offer the group class at any other times?
Not at this time. If you would like to request a different group class time, please do so.
  • What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that conversational English is best learned through structured practice. Each class period we will prepare for a conversation and then break up into small groups to actually practice what we just learned. I will then move from group to group to help facilitate and guide the discussion.
