Isn't it frustrating to play your songs to friends and family and get "well that's ... hmm.. interesting" - comments for your songs? You could send your songs to professionals who give you precise and dissected analyses which don't necessarily help you become a better writer. (Altho I highly recommend)

My goal for this gig is to listen to the song as if I hear it on the radio for the first time or a few times. Then I provide honest feedback on these subjects:

• Emotional expression (how does your song make me feel)
• Hooks and did they work
• Things that pop out in the song
• Things that didn't work or were annoying
