Hi!
My name is José David Rodríguez, Marimba One Artist. I'm a professional percussionist and conductor specialized on Symphonic, latin and folk percussion and I'm based in Bogotá - Colombia. I have more that 230 percussion instruments included Marimba, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Congas, Drums, Cajón, Sleight Bells, Udu, Maracas, Castañets, Gongs, Guiro, Triangle, Djembe, Tambora, Alegre...
I've 15 years of experience as session musician and love to bring magic to the music with all the percussion instruments I have. I have recording more than 80 professional tracks with Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, Banda Filarmónica Juvenil, Pa sus Tres Music an others.
Also I have a lot of experience playing on music festivals in Colombia, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium and United States with small chamber and folk music groups and large Concert Bands and Orchestras.

You can make a custom/special percussion set?
Of corse! I love to play hybrid drum set and percussion set. Please see my videos at the description ;)
What instruments do you have?
I have Timpani, Marimba 5.0 oct, Xylophone, Glockenspiel, Sleight Bells, Crash and suspended Cymbals, Sound effects, congas, cajon, maracas of Cuba and Venezuela, drum set, bongo, shaker of different sizes, spoons (my speciality), a lot of world percussion... Imagination is the limit!.
Do you work with special/Odd time signatures?
Yes!, I'm really into play a lot of jazz, folk and traditional music from Mid East. Show me your ideas!
Do you play Tabla and Indian music?
Sorry! I don't play Tabla but I can do special effects and percussion if you want and have an specific idea.
Do you offer percussion classes?
Yes! We can do it if you want. I hace 12 years of experience as a percussion teacher on different institutions and festivals.
