I prefer to create a custom offer for each client and charge a per-hour rate. This allows me to spend the time needed on a manuscript based on the author's skill, and also provide the best value. My hourly begins at $40 for structural editing, and I can usually edit a short story, up to 4000 words, in an hour.

I am a published science fiction author and a member of the Science Fiction Writers Association. I have almost a decade of experience writing and editing, and I continue to study the craft of storytelling. I want to make your story the best it can be but also to help you learn to be a better writer with every story. You'll find references to grammar and syntax rules, established story structure techniques, and leading-edge story-crafting ideas in all of my editing.

I will apply the principles that make stories compelling to your work; internally logical consistent plot, an immersive setting that compliments and allows for the actions of said plot, and characters who have purpose, motivation, consistency, and individuality that interact with that plot in that setting in a believable way.
