About this gig
Ever wished you had Google Maps but for your Dungeons & Dragons world? That's precisely what I offer! I can provide you with the necessary files in order to publish a live, interactive map of your setting on the internet. Here's how it works:
- Map Design. You send me your existing world map (or a rough sketch), and I translate those features into GIS data files. These features include terrain & biomes, countries, cities, and other points of interest.
- Map Styling. I assemble all the data together using Mapbox, an online service that handles all the technical stuff involved with loading, visualizing, and styling GIS data over the internet. I then send you the GIS files as well as the Mapbox style data.
- Map Deployment. With the files now in your possession, I guide you through the process of setting up a website where you and your players can view the map at any time. This process doesn't cost you any additional money and is included in the gig.
Once everything is set up, you will have a map that you and your players can view any time, with multiple levels of detail, points of interest with lore popups, and more!

Can I see a demo map?
Yes! I have several online maps that are viewable at https://map.neonfable.com/
Do you make NFTs?
I will not make anything NFT-related. I strongly encourage you to watch "Line Goes Up – The Problem With NFTs" by Folding Ideas.
Can you add 3D terrain?
Sort of—I can have different parts of the map extrude (or "stick out") different heights. This makes mountain areas taller than plains areas for example, but it doesn't allow me to create any sort of overhangs and is very rudimentary.
Can you add 3D models or animation?
No. That is well beyond the capabilities of Mapbox, the web-mapping tiling service my gig utilizes. If you require greater 3D detail or animation, you may want to consider hiring a video game developer instead.
Can you make a video game?
No, that is far beyond the scope of this service.
