About this gig
Offering weekly online violin lessons to students of all ages and all ability levels. My goal is to set up beginners with a strong foundational technique. I teach in the most practical ways possible, tailored to each learning style. This is with the goal that students will be able to pick up the violin in a thorough and very enjoyable way! I also specialize in teaching students of the intermediate and advanced levels as well. I have studied with teachers of the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Juilliard School, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.

Violinist, Bartholomew Frederick Fortino-Shields, hailed in The Baltimore Sun as “Amazing,” enjoys sharing the joy of music with all people. He performs regularly throughout the United States and Europe and has been featured in venues such as the Kaufman Music Center, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone. This March, Bartholomew will be featured as soloist at Love²Arts | Gallery Management Representation in Antwerp, Belgium. He recently signed a recording contract with the London based Sheva Collection.
