About This Gig

I am a native German speaker and possess professional fluency in English as well. I am currently enrolled in a graduate program at an American University and have lots of experience in academic writing. I am also a published author of an academic research paper.

I will efficiently proofread in English or German:

  • books of all kinds
  • academic papers
  • website content
  • articles
  • brochures
  • CVs and resumes
  • LinkedIn profiles

I will be proofreading your work for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Note to buyers: I will NOT proofread your machine-translated document for you and correct all translation mistakes. Experience has shown that I generally end up having to translate the whole document in these cases. I consider this a "translation service" which requires a lot more time.

If you need translation services please check out my other gig.

If you are not a native speaker of the language your document was written in or you want me to proofread a translated document I will not be able to make you a special deal for a large order. 1 gig for 1000 words of proofreading. No Google-translated documents!

You can expect to receive a high quality service.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you proofread translated documents?
No, in most cases I don't. Experience has shown that many "translators" use a translation service such as "Google translate" and then send the "translated document" to another freelancer to correct the mistakes. Such documents are full of mistakes and often require a completely new translation.
