About This Gig

I will provide ONE HOUR of quality genealogy research for your family tree whether it is to help you get started, get past a stuck point, or help you further your tree in whichever direction you wish to go.

I have been doing genealogy research for 30+ years. I feel like a detective ferreting out clues and piecing together stories from old records when I research. Once I start looking, I will exhaust all of my resources before quitting--and then I will look again!

I will use Ancestry and Familysearch as well as additional resources. Once I get started, I can report in with you. If you feel we are on a roll, you can add additional hours to this gig as we go! Please allow extra time as we add extra hours.

There is no guarantee I will be able to find what you are looking for.  Sometimes records we want do not exist or have been destroyed. I will look among primary sources such as birth/death/marriage, census and military records and more. I will provide as much proven information as I can find through original records. I specialize in US, UK, Canadian and European searches. I also read French.

TO HELP THE QUALITY OF YOUR RESULTS: BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE IN WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much do you charge per hour?
$5 for the first hour, $15 for an additional hour add-on, and $10 an hour for all additional hours on the same gig job. For the additional hours, a custom order will need to be created.
  • Do you find living persons?
Because I am a family historian, I am not set up to do this type of work. Sorry, I will not locate living persons for you.
