I will automate a repetitive file task with a python script

About this gig
Turn a repetitive file task into a reusable Python script.
After sample review, I can clean CSV exports, merge matching CSV files or simple Excel sheets, rename files or sort them into folders. We agree your operating system, input/output formats, rules and expected result.
You receive Python source, checks using agreed samples and clear run instructions. File-changing workflows include a dry run so you can preview changes; originals are preserved or results go to a separate folder.
Basic covers 1 simple rule. Standard covers up to 3 rules with logging. Premium covers up to 5 rules with logging and a settings file. One rule is one agreed operation, such as trimming spaces or removing duplicates using a chosen column; combining these counts as two rules.
Each package delivers one local command-line workflow. Excludes GUI/dashboard, OCR, scraping, hosting, scheduling setup, account automation, Excel macros, complex workbook formatting and formula engineering.
Send anonymized samples and the exact output you need before ordering. The gallery uses synthetic data to demonstrate a three-rule workflow.

FAQ
Will the script delete my original files?
No deletion is included by default. We agree file changes before work starts. The script previews planned changes and preserves originals or writes results to a separate output folder.
Can it run on a schedule?
The package delivers a script you start manually. Scheduler, server or cloud setup is separate scope. Standard includes logging; Premium also includes a settings file.
Do I need coding experience?
You receive the Python source and run instructions. You need compatible Python, permission to install any required libraries and permission to run scripts. This is a command-line script; a dashboard, desktop interface or remote installation is not included.
How do rush delivery and extra revisions work?
Confirm scope and provide samples before ordering rush delivery. A revision is one consolidated round within the agreed requirements. New rules, file layouts or separate workflows are quoted separately.
What counts as one rule?
One rule is one agreed operation: trim spaces, remove duplicates using a chosen column, merge files with matching columns, or rename files using one pattern. Combining operations counts as multiple rules; complex transformations may need more than one.
Which files and operating systems are supported?
CSV, simple Excel (.xlsx) sheets and local file tasks are supported after sample review. We agree one OS and input/output formats. Excel macros, complex workbook formatting and formula engineering are excluded. New layouts, formats or operating systems are separate scope.
