About This Gig

I will configure Google Apps or Zoho Mail with your own custom domain name to give you a robust and reliable business-class email service. 

Both apps also allow you to have multiple domains, so if this is required then I can configure this for you as well, included in the gig price.

  • My basic package includes the initial configuration, as well as setting up one email account.
  • My standard package includes the previous, but I can also transfer all emails for up to 5 accounts from a previous email provider if necessary.
  • My top package includes all of the above, but I can transfer up to 25 accounts from a previous email provider.

Please note: Google Apps/Gmail for Business is a paid-for service, so you will be required to sign up to a suitable package directly with Google. Zoho Mail is free for up to 10 users, but multi-domain support is a paid-for service and you will need to sign up to the relevant plan with Zoho if required..

Timescales: The 3 days time listed for this gig is to allow us to arrange a convenient time with you to complete the gig, in most cases, it will be completed the same day but to allow for different timezones we have allowed 3 days to arrange anything needed with you.


Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will this work with my domain name?
    This will depend on the company you registered your domain name with but in almost all cases it will work fine. All the main registrars such as GoDaddy, 1&1, NamesCo etc all support this. If you are unsure, please check if your provider allows you to change your DNS records.
  • I currently use email with another provider, will there be a interruption in my service?
    In most cases, no. The transfer will normally be seamless and you should not miss any emails that you receive during the switchover to Google Apps or Zoho Mail. There can be rare circumstances that would cause a interruption but this will be minimized as much as possible.
  • Can I still use Outlook/Thunderbird or another software/app to access my emails?
    Yes of course. Both Google and Zoho have excellent mobile apps to give you the best experience on Android and iOS mobile devices. They also support the standard POP3 and IMAP protocols as well so you can still continue to use any regular email client that you wish.
  • Do I have to send you my credit/debit card details to sign up with Google or Zoho?
    No, not at all. For your own protection, and my mine as a seller, you should not send me any payment information at all. Where payments for these services are required, I will send you a link to the sign-up page where you can enter the payment information yourself.
  • I have more than 25 email accounts with my current email provider, can you still help?
    Yes certainly, my gig packages cover the most common requirements, but I am also happy to take on larger jobs including up to 200 email accounts. Please contact me for a custom quote and timescale.
  • Can I send & receive from multiple email addresses using a single account?
    Yes, both services support alias addresses, this means you can have multiple email addresses received on your single main account. For example: info@mycompanyname.com. sales@mycompanyname.com and JoeBloggs@mycompanyname.com
  • I purchased my domain through Shopify with email forwarding, will it work for me?
    The great news is, Yes! With some extra steps involving the Shopify support team, it's possible access the settings we need to setup a full email system on your Shopify domain name. Please contact Shopify support (https://support.shopify.com/) and ask them to tell you your "OpenSRS login details".
