I will migrate your vmware vms to openstack or kvm
About this Gig
Leaving VMware after the Broadcom licence changes? I move VMware workloads to OpenStack (Nova/KVM) with Ceph storage. I run production OpenStack for a Tier-1 telecom operator (80+ compute nodes).
What I do:
- Assess your vSphere estate: VMs, disks, networks, OS versions
- Design the target OpenStack + Ceph platform, or use your existing cloud
- Convert and migrate VMs with virt-v2v, os-migrate or MigrateKit
- Handle Windows virtio drivers, multi-disk VMs and IP/MAC preservation
- Map vSphere networks to Neutron/OVN provider and tenant networks
- Validate every VM and hand over a rollback plan and runbook
How it works:
1. Send me a short VM inventory (an RVTools export is perfect)
2. I confirm scope, downtime window and the right package
3. We migrate a pilot first, then the rest in waves
4. You get a migration report and runbook
Message me with your VM count and I'll tell you the fastest safe path.

FAQ
Do you need access to vCenter?
Read-only vCenter access or an RVTools export is enough for the assessment. For migration I need access to the ESXi hosts or exported disks, and to the OpenStack project.
How much downtime will my VMs have?
Cold migration needs a short shutdown per VM. Warm migration with MigrateKit keeps the VM running and only needs a few minutes for the final cutover.
Can you migrate Windows VMs?
Yes. I install virtio drivers and check boot, disks and networking after conversion.
Do I need an OpenStack cloud already?
No. I can build one for you first or migrate into your existing cloud.
