Learn Guitar the Right Way - Beginner-Friendly, Personalized Lessons
Whether you've never touched a guitar or you've been playing a while and want to level up, I'll help you make real, lasting progress.
How it works: We start with a trial lesson - a relaxed session where I get to know your level, your goals, and the music you want to play. Afterwards, I'll put together a personalized development plan (in my own time) tailored specifically to you, so every lesson that follows is purposeful and moves you forward.
What we can cover:
- Fundamentals: posture, hand position, reading chord charts & tabs
- Chords, strumming & rhythm
- Fingerpicking & fingerstyle
- Scales, lead playing & improvisation
- Learning your favourite songs
- Music theory (as much or as little as you want)
Who this is for: Total beginners are very welcome but if you have some experience and want structured guidance to break through a plateau, I'd love to work with you too.

Hey, I’m Aaron 👋
I’m a singer-songwriter currently studying in BIMM Dublin, and am a nearly 5-year tutor of guitar and 3-year tutor of music theory.
I aim to make learning as enjoyable and effective as possible for any on from beginner to advanced with a dynamic, friendly and patient approach. I tailor-make lessons (and post-lesson assignments!) for each student to ensure focused learning that is best for you! I will guide you through topics and techniques step-by-step and track improvements to ensure consistent progress is being made!

Do I need my own guitar to start?
Yes, you'll need access to a guitar for lessons. Acoustic or electric both work — if you're unsure what to get before your first lesson, feel free to message me and I'll point you in the right direction.
I'm a complete beginner — is that okay?
Absolutely. Beginners are very welcome. The trial lesson is specifically designed to meet you wherever you're starting from.
What happens after the trial lesson?
I'll put together a personalised development plan based on your goals and current level. Your ongoing lessons will follow that plan, so progress is structured and intentional rather than random.
What style of music do you teach?
I tailor lessons to what you actually want to play. Whether that's rock, pop, folk, blues, or just learning specific songs, we'll work around your taste.
How long are the lessons?
I'd recommend 60 minutes for most students to get the most out of each session.
How often should I take lessons?
Once a week is ideal for steady progress, but we can work around your schedule.
Do I need to read music?
No. We can work with tabs and chord charts, which is how most guitarists learn. Music theory is available if you want it, but it's never forced.
