Q: Are government filing fees included in your packages?
A: No. USPTO fees are paid separately by you, directly to the USPTO at the time of filing. The fee is charged per class, and I will tell you the exact amount for your application before you submit.
Q: Will you file the application with the USPTO on my behalf?
A: I prepare a complete application ready for submission and guide you through each step. If you are domiciled in the USA, you can file it yourself using my prepared package.
Q: What information do you need from me?
A: I need your mark (word, logo or slogan), the owner’s name and address, a description of your products or services, the date you first used the mark if it is already in use, and a specimen showing the mark in use, such as a product label or website screenshot.
Q: What is a trademark class and how many do I need?
A: Trademarks are registered under 45 classes of goods and services, and each class is charged separately. Most small brands need one or two. I will identify the right classes for your business during our initial discussion.
Q: How long does the USPTO take to register a trademark?
A: I deliver your search and application within the package timeframe. The USPTO itself usually takes several months, often over a year, to examine and register a mark, depending on its workload and whether any issues arise.
Q: What happens if the USPTO raises an objection to my application?
