I will optimize and fix your slow data pipeline, API, or performance

About this gig
Is your data pipeline crawling, your API slow under load, or your database queries dragging? I find the real bottleneck and fix it with numbers to prove it.
I'm a senior backend engineer who has done this in production: I reworked a data ingestion pipeline to handle 3x peak volume with zero added downtime.
What I optimize:
- Data pipelines & ETL jobs (batch and streaming)
- Slow REST APIs and backend services (Python, TypeScript/Node)
- Database performance: slow queries, missing indexes, N+1 problems
- Caching strategy and architecture-level fixes
How it works:
- Audit: I profile your system and deliver a written report: what's slow, why, and the fixes ranked by impact
- Fix I implement the changes: query rewrites, indexes, caching, code-level optimization
- Prove before/after benchmarks so you see exactly what improved
Why me: No guesswork, no "try upgrading your server." I measure first, fix what matters, and show you the numbers.
Not sure which package fits? Message me with a short description of your stack and symptoms; I'll tell you honestly what you need.

FAQ
Do you optimize WordPress or Shopify sites?
No, this gig is for backend systems: data pipelines, APIs, databases, and server-side code in Python or TypeScript/Node. For storefront page speed you'll want a WordPress/Shopify specialist.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to the relevant code (repo or files), a description of the symptom (what's slow, when, how slow), and ideally access to logs or the database schema. For the audit tier, read-only access is enough.
What if you can't make it faster?
The audit always delivers value: you'll know exactly where time is going and why, with evidence. If profiling shows your system is already near its practical limit, the report will say so honestly and outline what an architectural change would buy you.
What does "before/after benchmarks" mean in Premium?
I measure baseline performance first (response times, throughput, or job duration), apply the fixes, then re-run the same measurements and give you a comparison report.
Can you work on production systems safely?
Yes. Analysis happens on read-only access or a copy. Changes are delivered as code/migrations for your team to review and deploy — I never modify a live production database directly.
My stack isn't Python or Node, can you still help?
Message me first. SQL and database-level optimization applies to any stack; for other languages I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
