About this Gig
Do you have a finished manuscript waiting for publication? Beta reading is an excellent service to ensure that you have a reader's unbiased perspective of your work prior to publication. Rather than basic feedback from family and friends, you can access detailed comments on plot, characters, pacing, representation and more from an experienced author and avid reader.
I can beta read your manuscript and give you a detailed report on my thoughts and how you can improve. I have specific expertise in LGBT+ representation and I have written books for middle-grade, young adult and adult audiences.
My service is suitable for any manuscript, from fiction to non-fiction. I can beta read poetry and short story collections, novellas, novels, self-help books and more. My packages work as follows:
- Basic: Up to 50k words (for example, a 30k manuscript)
- Standard: Between 50k and 100k words (for example, an 80k manuscript)
- Premium: Between 100k and 150k words (for example, a 120k manuscript)
If your manuscript is above 150k words, feel free to get in touch so we can work out an order. I do not use AI for any part of my beta reading. If you have any other queries, please send over a message!

How long will my order take?
This depends on the length of your manuscript. If it's 50k and under, then delivery is seven days. 50k-100k manuscripts will take fourteen days. 100k-150k manuscripts will take twenty-one days. Four extra days will be added for orders with the manuscript comments extra and two for the typo report.
Can you provide sensitivity reading?
Yes, I can. Specifically, I can provide sensitivity reading for LGBTQ+ characters and issues as a transgender and bisexual person who has also written LGBTQ+ books and short works. I also have lived experience with mental health and family issues, especially concerning teenage characters.
