What do I need to have ready before we begin the setup?
You will need an active Anthropic API account with available credits, and the latest version of Node.js installed on your machine if we are setting up Claude Code. Don’t worry if you don’t have these yet—I can guide you through getting them ready during our consultation.
Do I need to share my API keys or passwords with you?
No, never share your private API keys. For your security, we will do the actual sensitive configuration via a secure live screen-share session, or I will provide a step-by-step custom guide so your credentials remain 100% private to you.
What is a CLAUDE.md file, and why do I need one?
A CLAUDE.md file is a specialized instruction profile placed in your project directory. It teaches the Claude agent your exact project rules, code style preferences, and operational guardrails. It prevents the AI from making repetitive mistakes and ensures it acts exactly how you want it to.
Can Claude Code or Cowork run completely autonomously without my supervision?
They can execute complex task loops, but they feature built-in human-in-the-loop approval gates. This means the AI will pause and ask for your explicit permission before executing critical actions, like deleting a file, running a shell command, or modifying key files.
Will these tools work on both Mac and Windows operating systems?
Yes, both tools run smoothly on macOS and Linux. For Windows, Claude Code requires Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) or Git Bash to run properly. Please message me your operating system before ordering so we can plan the installation method.
