Is this the same as a basic STL to STEP conversion?
No. A basic STL to STEP conversion usually keeps the mesh-style triangle geometry. This gig is for rebuilding simple functional parts into cleaner CAD geometry using FreeCAD.
Will the final model be fully parametric?
It may include editable FreeCAD features where practical, but this gig does not guarantee a fully parametric engineering model for every part. The goal is a clean, usable CAD rebuild.
What type of parts are suitable?
