How does the book formatting process work?
First, I’ll need your final edited manuscript in MS Word or another text format to start the formatting. The formatting process involves structuring your manuscript to meet publishing standards, including layout design, fonts, spacing, margins, and pagination ensuring a professional & polished book.
What are the mostly used book dimensions?
The most common dimensions for standard trade fiction and nonfiction books are: 5" x 8", 5.5" x 8.5", and 6" x 9".
Can you work with other languages besides English?
Yes, absolutely. Whatever content you send me will be what is included in the design - as long as you've translated it properly we'll be good to go.
What file formats will I receive in the final delivery?
You’ll receive a print ready PDF for physical copies, an EPUB for eBook distribution, and an INDD file for further editing in Adobe InDesign.
Do I need to provide images or illustrations for formatting?
Yes, if your book contains images or illustrations, you’ll need to provide them in a high resolution format. I’ll seamlessly integrate them into the layout according to your specifications.
What if I need to make changes after the book has been formatted?
Minor content changes after formatting can be accommodated for a small fee of $1 per change (minimum charge of $10). Alternatively, you can make edits yourself using the provided Adobe InDesign (INDD) file.
