Do I need to install anything or pay for new software?
No. Apps Script is built into Google Workspace. The automation runs inside your own Google account, with nothing to install and no new subscription.
Who owns the code?
You do. It lives in your account from day one, with comments, so any developer can take it over later.
My spreadsheet is messy. Is that a problem?
No, that's normal. Send it as it is. Part of the job is deciding the structure it should have, and I'll explain any change before I make it.
Can it connect to other tools?
Usually, yes: anything with an API. I've connected QuickBooks, Stripe, HubSpot and Gemini AI to Apps Script. Tell me the tool and I'll check before you order.
Will it break if someone edits the sheet?
I write it to fail loudly, not silently. If someone renames a column, you get a clear message saying what changed instead of wrong numbers.
