I will migrate cpanel to directadmin with addon domains and email included

About this gig
Your cPanel bill went up and DirectAdmin is where you are going. Everything has to land: the addon domains, the databases, the mail.
DirectAdmin's cPanel importer renames every database to a username_ prefix, so every wp-config.php points at a name that no longer exists. It skips addon domains entirely when MAXADDON is missing from the user file. Neither failure prints an error. I have been fixing both for years.
How I stand behind it: I count domains, mailboxes and messages per folder on the old server, count them again on the new one, and send you both lists. A number that does not match gets fixed before I deliver. Your old server is left intact, so going back is a DNS change and not a restore.
Included: files with ownership, databases with configs rewritten, mailboxes with folders and read status, forwarders, filters, autoresponders, DNS compared record by record, cron, SSL, PHP version matched. Addon domains and subdomains are never billed as extra sites.
Not included: buying servers or licences, code rewrites, repairing sites already broken before the move.
15 years, 5,000+ Linux servers. These exact failures are ones I fix every week.

FAQ
Will my sites go offline?
No, not in a way visitors notice. Files and databases copy while the old server is still serving. I lower the DNS TTL a day beforehand so the switch propagates fast. The only real gap is the final database sync on a busy site, usually minutes.
What happens to my email?
It comes with you. Mailboxes copy over IMAP, so folders, read and unread status, flags and dates survive. Forwarders, filters and autoresponders are rebuilt on the DirectAdmin side where the formats differ. No per-mailbox charge on any package.
Do addon domains count as extra websites?
No. An account with one main domain and eleven addon domains is one account here. Being billed for addon domains and subdomains as separate sites is common in this category. Here they are counted against your source and all of them move.
Do you need root access to the old server?
Root SSH on both sides is the fastest route. If the source is shared hosting with no root, I work from a control panel backup and restore files, databases, mail and DNS by hand. That takes longer and gets checked harder. Tell me which you have.
What if something goes wrong halfway?
Nothing on the old server is touched destructively or deleted. If the new one misbehaves, going back is a DNS change rather than a restore. You decide when the old server is decommissioned, on your schedule.
How long will it actually take?
Most single accounts finish inside the package delivery time. What moves it: total disk size, mailbox volume, and whether I can reach the DNS. Send me your disk usage figure before you order and I will give you a real number.
Can you do the reverse direction, or Plesk?
Yes. DirectAdmin back to cPanel, and Plesk either way. The reverse direction and the moves onto Cloudways or RunCloud have their own gig. Message me first if you are not sure which one to order and I will point you at the right one.
