About me
I'm Akiko — a Japanese professional announcer and voice artist with 14 years of broadcast experience. Trained by NHK from high school, I went on to represent Fukuoka Prefecture at the NHK Broadcasting Contest nationals. That foundation led to roles as main news anchor at NHK Gifu and reporter/narrator at Fuji TV affiliate. Since university I've built a freelance MC and narration career, and since going independent I've MC startup events in both Japanese and English. I also serve as Global Ambassador (LA-based NPO) — alongside Hollywood actress Debbie Allen and Motown legends.
