My role was to facilitate groups for individuals in substance abuse and mental health recovery on topics like mental health and wellbeing, self-esteem, strengthening relapse prevention, and more. Within these groups I held discussions surrounding the topics and created a safe space which allowed clients the space to share personal experiences and provided the opportunity for them to look inward and identify where change is necessary within their lives.
