I will build a python script to organize document copies with a dry run

About this gig
I build a local Python script to organize document copies into the folders you specify. It previews the plan, copies into a new output folder and writes a receipt of destinations, byte counts and file hashes. Originals stay unchanged.
Basic: one manifest-to-folder workflow, one input manifest, up to 25 files / 5 MB total.
Standard: one workflow, up to 100 files / 20 MB total and 3 agreed naming/folder rules.
Premium: one workflow, up to 300 files / 50 MB total and 6 agreed rules, configurable mapping, conflict checks and a handoff guide.
All tiers include code, sample inputs, dry run, receipt, run instructions and an agreed-behavior test. File/size limits define acceptance testing, not throughput guarantees. Delivery is within one day after complete requirements; straightforward work can ship within hours.
Have a smaller budget? Send your task and budget for a useful smaller custom scope, including below these package prices.
No OCR, content classification, scraping, account automation or external integrations. I review code and test results. Gallery artwork illustrates copying, not client work.

FAQ
Will the script change originals or run automatically?
No. It copies into a new folder. The default run previews without creating output; applying needs an explicit flag. It refuses existing output folders and rejects symlinks and path traversal. No destructive actions, shell evaluation or scheduling.
What software and folder setup do I need?
Python 3.9+ and its standard library; no paid service. Install Python if absent. Use trusted local folders without concurrent writers. Small batches are read into memory; this is not an adversarial filesystem isolation system.
Will it classify documents or connect to cloud accounts?
No. It copies bytes using a manifest or agreed naming/folder rules. Content extraction, OCR and classification need separate feasibility review. Account sign-in, external APIs and cloud deployment are excluded.
What do the receipt and file hashes prove?
The receipt lists destinations, byte counts and hashes to compare copied bytes with the source snapshot. It does not verify document facts or approve production use. File/size limits define acceptance testing, not guaranteed throughput.
What do revisions include?
Basic includes 1 revision; Standard and Premium include 2. They fix or adjust the agreed workflow. A new input format or integration needs a new scope. Share broader requests and your budget for review.
Can you work with a smaller budget?
Yes. Send your task, budget and deadline. I can propose a useful smaller custom scope, including below these package prices, where deliverable and permitted by the platform. These packages are not universal price floors.
What do I receive with each package?
All tiers include code, sample inputs, a dry run, receipt, run instructions and a test of the agreed behavior. Standard includes tests for its agreed rules. Premium adds configurable mapping, conflict checks, tests and a handoff guide.
