A cross-platform desktop app built with Tauri smaller and faster than Electron, because it uses your OS's native webview instead of bundling a full browser.
I've built a working Tauri app end-to-end (not yet publicly released pending code signing), so I know the framework's real quirks, not just the docs.
What you get: a functional desktop app for Windows, macOS, and/or Linux from one codebase, source code at delivery, and guidance on building/packaging for distribution. Premium adds backend integration and auto-update support.

Why Tauri instead of Electron?
Tauri apps are smaller and faster since they use the OS's native webview instead of bundling Chromium — same cross-platform reach, better performance and lower resource use.
Do I need to sign/notarize the app myself?
Distribution signing (Apple notarization, Windows code signing) isn't included by default — I can advise on the process, but certificates/accounts are on your end.
Is this your first desktop project?
I've built and tested a working Tauri app end-to-end. It's a newer part of my stack than my mobile/web work, which is why this gig is priced and scoped for straightforward apps rather than complex multi-service projects.
Do you provide app design, or do I need my own?
I focus on development. Share a Figma link or reference screenshots and I'll build to match; without one, I use a clean default UI. Custom design work isn't included but can be discussed as an add-on.
