Will my current Shopify store go offline during this process?
No, your Shopify store will remain completely live and able to take orders. I will work on your new WooCommerce store in the background. We only switch the domain over when you are 100% satisfied.
Do I need to purchase web hosting before we start?
Yes. Unlike Shopify, WooCommerce is self-hosted. You will need to purchase a WordPress hosting plan (like SiteGround, Hostinger, or WP Engine) and have your base WordPress installed before I can begin the migration.
Will my store's design look exactly the same?
Shopify themes cannot be directly installed on WordPress. I will use a premium, highly customizable WooCommerce theme and style it to closely match your current branding, colors, and layout.
Will my customers need to recreate their passwords?
Yes. For strict security reasons, Shopify encrypts customer passwords and they cannot be exported. Your customers will need to use the "Forgot Password" link on the new WooCommerce site to set a new password the next time they log in.
