Where do the transcripts come from?
From the captions published on YouTube for each video. Some are written by the creator, most are generated by YouTube's speech recognition. The workbook says which, video by video.
How accurate are they?
As accurate as YouTube's own captions: very good on clear speech, weaker on names, accents and technical terms. I do not correct them by hand. If you need a proofread transcript of a few videos, a human transcription gig is the right choice.
What if some videos have no captions?
They are listed in a separate sheet with the reason and do not count in your package. Music videos, very recent uploads and some live streams often have none.
Can you do a whole channel with thousands of videos?
Yes. Premium covers up to 3,000 videos; message me first for more.
Which languages?
Any language the video has captions in. You get each video in its own language by default.
Do you need access to my YouTube account? No
I only read public videos, so a link is enough.
What is the JSON file for?
It holds the full text and the timed lines of every video in a format that AI tools and developers load directly: a custom GPT, a RAG index, a vector database, a script.
Are Shorts and live streams included?
The regular videos of the channel are read. Tell me if you need Shorts or past live streams and I will confirm before you order.
